Alice Villar is a Yoga teacher certified through International Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course which shares teachings of classical Hatha yoga and Vedanta (Yoga Philosophy) as a means for all to achieve physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing, and self-realization. She completed Teachers Training Course (TTC) and Advanced Teacher Tanning Course (ATTC) at Sivananda Ashram Yoga Camp in Val-Morin, Quebec (Canada).
Alice Villaris currently a registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance (RYT 500, E-RYT 200, YACEP) and has been teaching many styles of Yoga such as Classical Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Chair Yoga. She has authored three books published by Eranthus Books: Sun Salutation: a guide to turning your practice into a deep meditation, The 32 Fundamental Asanas and their variations, and The 46 life benefits of Yoga: taking care of your physical, mental and spiritual health.
She started dancing classical ballet at six years old but began to study it seriously at the age of ten at Escola Estadual de Dança Maria Olenewa (EEDMO). The School of Dance Maria Olenewa is a traditional ballet school in the city of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), connected to the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro. The institution was founded in 1927 and it was the first ballet school in Brazil. Later on she became a Lawyer, graduated from a School of Law in Rio de Janeiro – Centro Universitário da Cidade – RJ/BR.
